400350Some time ago I was introduced to shaving using a brush and shaving soap. I never had as close of a shave with the clean, look and feel as this style of shaving brought me. I started to try all the different shaving soaps, brushes and razor blades. I found that the Mach3® by Gillette was by far my favorite, but the balance was never to my liking.. When it came to soaps there were many that gave me a smooth shave and a feeling of smoothness but most were quite expensive. I found brushes from $5 up to $350.00, the less expensive brushes felt like I was applying the soap with sand paper, the mid range and most of the higher end brushes seemed to exfoliate my face while applying the soap smoothly. I started to do a little research and found that by making our own soaps & razors that use the Mach3® head, and using the finest of the Badger hair knots for brushes , applying the techniques and products that I've used in my pen making I've been able to make a perfectly balanced razor, with a soap that meets all my requirements and a line of Badger brushes second to none.
